Though the 2025 Forbidden Fruit line-up features many incredible artists, there are two bands in particular (from Cork, obviously) that are an absolute essential for anyone attending this June bank holiday weekend (no, we’re not biased)

Cliffords

Bringing their latest single ‘My Favourite Monster‘ with them, Cliffords are sure to deliver a set packed with energy and tracks that will have you singing along before you know it. The fiercely proud Corkonians have been gaining momentum playing stages across Ireland, the UK and at Misneach festival in Sydney earlier this year. They are also due to appear at other festivals this year such as All Together Now, Best Kept Secret, and Glastonbury. Their set on the RTÉ 2FM Rising stage at 5:30pm on Sunday the 1st of June is unmissable for Forbidden Fruit attendees this June bank holiday weekend.

Smithereens

After finishing their Irish tour in Roisín Dubh this Friday 30th May, the five man jazz/rock/funk line-up will be hitting the Someplace Else stage at 2:30pm on Sunday 1st June. Sure to wrap the audience up in a set full of attitude, golden melodies and velvety rhythms, full of tunes from their recent EP ‘Emergency Entrance‘ that fits the reputation they have earned as one of Cork’s most electrifying bands to see live.
